Obama: De Blasio’s progressive agenda is nothing new

The New York Post reports:

President Obama dismissed Mayor de Blasio’s new “Progressive Agenda” as a rip-off of his own ideas Thursday.

Speaking to reporters at the presidential retreat in Maryland after a summit meeting on the Middle East, the president brought up the agenda after a reporter asked him a general question about trade and his strained relations with liberal firebrand Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)

“I noticed that there was sort of a progressive statement of principles about what it means to be a progressive by some of these friends of mine,” Obama observed.

“I noted that it was basically my agenda except for trade,” he continued – chuckling.
