Walgreens plans to close about 200 U.S. stores

The Chicago Tribune reports:
Walgreens Boots Alliance's first earnings report as a newly formed company included the announcement that Walgreens will close 200 U.S. stores.

A spokesman told the Chicago Tribune on Thursday that no hard timeline has been set for the store closings and that the list of stores slated to close is still being finalized.

The stores closures are part of an expansion to the $1 billion cost-reduction plan it announced last August.
The supply of square footage could be increasing soon!
