Mayor de Blasio was absent from the Tribeca Film Festival’s annual star-studded kickoff, hosted by Vanity Fair, after fest founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal blasted Hizzoner for not funding the fest.The struggles of the Democrat party.
“I don’t have many opinions on de Blasio,” De Niro reportedly said, “We don’t get any support at this point. There’s nothing.”
Rosenthal added, “I have no opinion, too . . . that should tell you what my opinion is.”
De Blasio’s team fired back that it gives “promotional funding” of $300,000.
