Man robbed at gunpoint three blocks from Mayor Emanuel's North Side home

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
A man was robbed by a group of teenagers armed with a handgun three blocks from Mayor Emanuel’s North Side home Monday night.

The 32-year-old victim was in the 4500 block of North Hermitage at 7:43 p.m. when three teenage boys dressed in all black walked up to him, police said.

One of the teens pulled a handgun and demanded his valuables, police said. Witnesses saw the suspects running eastbound on Sunnyside from Ashland after the robbery.

Police said no one was in custody as of Tuesday morning.

On Dec. 19, the mayor’s son Zach Emanuel was mugged outside their home in the 4500 block of North Hermitage, three blocks from Monday night’s robbery.
