Davis intros bill giving public employees social security on top of government pensions

Illinois Review reports:
U.S. Reps. Rodney Davis (R-IL) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) have introduced the Social Security Fairness Act, which eliminates provisions of the Social Security Act that prevent government employees from getting full social security payments on top of their taxpayer-funded government pensions.

“This bill ensures that a teacher who spends his or her summers working a second job or a police officer who changes careers after years of service will not face a possible 40 percent reduction in their Social Security benefits,” said Davis.
