Chicago Makes It Illegal to Work For Less Than $27,000 A Year: By 2019, Chicago Raising the Cost of Working An Entry Level Job to The Sky


The Chicago Sun-Times has the story. We'll bet that a lot of "internships" will be created to get around this job killing law. Just a reminder: $13 an hour, times 40 hours a week , times 52 weeks equals $27,040 a year. Plus, Social Security taxes and Illinois unemployment compensation taxes. With Chicago Public Schools having a 42% drop out rate: we assure you that many high school degree-less youth will be unemployed because they are worth less than $27,000 to many employers. You can count on that. Will thousands of Chicago workers be replaced by Ipad's , as the San Francisco billboard warns?
