Bill would regulate pingpong, other amenities: New York City Council Has Nothing Better to Do With Their Time

Crain's New York reports:
Landlords may have to post notice the next time their building's pingpong table will be unusable, if several City Council members have their way. A bill has been quietly introduced that would require owners of apartment buildings to notify tenants two weeks in advance when shared amenities are unavailable for more than 24 hours.

The list of amenities is exhaustive. Not just entrances, elevators, freight elevators and laundry rooms, but table tennis, air hockey and foosball. There's also exercise equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts, billiard tables, swimming pools, changing areas, showers, lounges, roof terraces, outdoor areas, barbecue equipment, parking spaces, dog runs, dog-cleaning facilities, storage units, wireless Internet, screening rooms, game rooms and day-care facilities.
The great moments of Blue America.
