Chicago's wealth and education soar as population dips

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
Chicago is a lot smaller than it used to be, relative to the rest of the metropolitan area.
There's more from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago:
During the 1980–2010 period, Chicago lost a total of over 300,000 residents. At the same time, suburban Chicago gained close to 2 million in population.
The great moments of Blue America.
