Science: Interest Rates Were Much More Stable Without The Federal Reserve System- A Chart of Ten-Year Treasury Notes
We re-post this one from the website Zerohedge because it's important to break from the nonsense taught in high schools and colleges around America. The chart says it all. Before 1914, interest rates were much more stable without the central planners trying to fix a price. There's less opportunities for graft without a central bank. What could be more dangerous than Paul Krugman , Robert Reich, or some other statist economist telling you he knows what interest rates "should be"? Check out the graph down below by clicking on the picture: a free society depends on a free market in money. Even academia is starting to wake up to the fact that banking panics were much worse after the Federal Reserve came into existence.
