Ill. Gov. Pat Quinn Blames Republicans for Problems in Black Community-Outsourcing Not One Party Rule

No we aren't making this up. In a debate for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn said something pretty amazing. Jeff Berkowitz reports:
The prize for the dumbest and least defensible answer of the night goes to Pat Quinn. Charles Thomas asked (at around 40:00 of the debate) Gov. Quinn why blacks should support him—in light of the very high unemployment, lack of business investment and awful performance of public schools in black areas and the fact that Democrats have had total control of the state in the last 12 years. Quinn sought to blame that poor performance of the Democratic Party over the last 12 years (and himself over the last 6 years) on Bruce Rauner teaching firms how to outsource jobs.

Responding to follow-up questioning by Thomas as to what Quinn could possibly mean by his answer, Quinn argued Rauner’s actions hurt everybody, including African-Americans. That is Quinn’s answer as to why Black unemployment has ranged in various areas of Illinois from 30% to 60% over the last six years? That is Quinn's answer as to why only 20% of the Black 4th graders in CPS read at grade level?
Folks, we aren't making this stuff up.
