Financially Troubled Illinois buys land adjacent to state parks : State Creditors Go Unpaid

The State-Journal Register reports:
The state of Illinois has acquired 51 acres of land adjacent to Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby to provide more space for wildlife.

Gov. Pat Quinn's office announced in a news release that wildlife habitat land had also been acquired in Edgar, Woodford and Jackson counties.

Illinois doesn't have money to pay its' creditors, has massive public pension deficits yet... it is buying up land! When "more space for wildlife" is more important than human needs.
