Protesters, police clash in Ferguson past midnight curfew

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

Under light rains in a neighborhood heavy hit by sadness and outrage, the midnight curfew drew closer. In the late-evening hours, It was impossible to tell if a time of quiet and stillness would begin as ordered — or not at all.

Hundreds moved along West Florissant Ave on foot and in cars, many young men and women raising their hands in a by-now-familiar “Don’t shoot!” poster. Others chanted profanities at the police, who maintained non-aggressive positions off the sidewalk in parking lots.
