The most recent fatal shooting occurred Thursday evening in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.
Three men were on a porch in the 5700 block of South La Salle Street at 6:09 p.m. when someone walked out of a gangway and fired shots, police said.
A man in his 20s was shot in the head and killed, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said. His name and exact age were not immediately available.
