GOP brass: Cuomo backs charter schools evicted by de Blasio

The New York Post reports:

Gov. Cuomo is coming to the rescue of charter schools left homeless by Mayor de Blasio.

Cuomo told a group of Republican business leaders that he would back legislation to provide funds for classroom space for charter schools if they are kicked out of city buildings, The Post has learned.

Cuomo made the statement during a Feb. 24 private meeting at the Harvard Club attended by Wall Street titans and financiers who support charter schools — just three days before de Blasio canceled classroom space in city buildings for three of adversary Eva Moskowitz’s Success Academy charter schools.
