Socialist Leader Barbara Ehrenreich: ' DSA carries on a fine old American tradition— the tradition carried on by Eugene Debs, Mother Jones, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and thousands more. I am proud to be a member.'

Her book Nickle and Dimed is widely read on American college campuses. Her publisher is rather shy about identifying comrade Barabara Ehreinreich as a leader of America's largest socialist organization, the Democratic Socialists of America(DSA). On the DSA website comrade Ehreinreich explains why she's a member:
DSA carries on a fine old American tradition— the tradition carried on by Eugene Debs, Mother Jones, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and thousands more. I am proud to be a member.
The New York Times has been embarrassed to call comrade Ehreinreich a socialist because it would confuse readers of their editorial page who believe that they are reading articles by "liberals".
