Bruce Rauner brags often about the contributions to education, financial and otherwise, that he and his second wife, Diana Mendley Rauner, have made. So that invites investigation into exactly what they have done.
A web site that (rightfully) opposes Obama’s Common Core mandates, that are expected to cost Illinois taxpayers an estimated $733 million a year, says this about Mrs. Rauner’s role in education in Illinois:
Illinois is the “TEST STATE” for the Administration’s plans to change America. Illinois Progressives introduced a child care program that gives government authority over children from birth to adulthood—and Diana Rauner, (working with Quinn, Emanuel, Duncan and other Progressives) is the implementer of the “Baby Core” signature program to re-do young thinking and change values from birth—starting in Chicago, of course. A fundamental truth about Progressive values is the belief that the Progressive knows better than the common person (even young parents) what is best for them—always for a higher purpose.
That same principle governs the other Programs from the Administration—all of which were also “tested” in Illinois—from Chicago. More coming on that.
By the way, Progressive ideologues have no Party loyalty—the Progressive uses the most convenient Political Structure available at the time to promote the ideology and purpose. Party labels tell nothing—one must examine the actions and history and connections. It is a b- partisan poison to divide and conquer.
So, here we go once again. Where a Rauner is, there is Rahm Emanuel standing close by. Here is Mrs. Rauner praising Chicago Democrat Rahm Emanuel for his “critical contributions” to improving education in Illinois:
