Saturday afternoon's broadcast of No. 1 Alabama at No. 6 Texas A&M earned the highest ratings for a CBS regular season college football game in 23 years, the Network announced on Sunday.
The game earned an overnight household ratings/share of 9.0/21, up 200% from last year's SEC on CBS season opener, Alabama-Arkansas. It is the highest rating for an afternoon regular-season college football game since Miami-Notre Dame on Oct. 20, 1990.
