Quinn plans Tuesday to announce rewrite of concealed-carry legislation

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to announce a rewrite Tuesday of legislation that would end Illinois’ last-in-the-nation prohibition on gun owners carrying their weapons in public places, multiple sources confirmed Monday night. Details of Quinn’s anticipated amendatory veto of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act remained a closely guarded secret with only the governor’s office announcing a scheduled Tuesday appearance with reporters to take action on the bill.
