Mayor grapples with problems he inherited

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
Any week that includes persuading Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) to drop his opposition to renovating Wrigley Field should be a home run for a Chicago mayor. But it was a political disaster for Mayor Rahm Emanuel, thanks to a double play with the potential to undermine his fast-approaching re-election bid.
The Sun-Times has been big time supporters of Rahm, so get a laugh at this:
a historic reluctance to raise local taxes that has continued under Emanuel.
Chicago has some of the highest property and sales taxes in the nation: who could forget they have the highest parking meters?
