Chicago stonewalling audit on garbage collection, inspector general says

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

Chicago Inspector General Joe Ferguson on Monday accused Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration of thwarting his efforts to verify the mayor’s revised claim of an $18 million-a-year savings from the switch from ward-by-ward to grid-based garbage collection. The Chicago Sun-Times reported last month that Ferguson has been told he must reapply for the $161,856-a-year job he holds, setting the stage for his exit after a frosty relationship with Emanuel.

Joe Ferguson is such too legitimate for Chicago.
