The Internal Revenue Service is making permanent the 10 percent tax on tanning from ObamaCare. Indoor tanning services have been subject to the excise tax since July of 2010. It was designed to help offset the sweeping healthcare bill’s cost by raising an estimated $2.7 billion in revenue. The tax had been considered temporary while the IRS collected feedback from the public and interested parties about how it should be applied.
