Dem bill would require companies to give workers paid time off to vote

The Hill reports:
A group of House Democrats has proposed legislation that would require companies around the country to give workers two hours of paid time off in order to vote in federal elections. The bill, from Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.), is co-sponsored by 17 Democrats, including many from states or U.S. territories without laws in place to guarantee paid time off.
