S.F. Housing Authority deep in red: Troubled S.F. authority faces $6.4 million deficit and uncertainty over status of its director

The San Francisco Housing Authority is hurtling toward collapse, projected to run out of cash in two months and have a deficit of $6.4 million by the end of its fiscal year in September, its interim head said Thursday.
