An old photo album purchased at a yard sale in Baileyville, Maine, has yielded what experts believe to be the first baseball card ever printed. Saco River Auction Company in Biddeford expects the card, which features the 1865 Brooklyn Atlantics amateur baseball club, to fetch upward of $100,000. The only other known example of the card is in the Library of Congress, so auctioneer Troy Thibodeau said the find is generating excitement from those who collect early 19th century baseball memorabilia.
