It Would Take Until 2055 For Cook County to Regain Jobs Lost Since 2007 at This Slow Growth Rate
Crain's Chicago Business reports U.S. Census data on slow growth Illinois. Cook County has lost 183, 007 jobs since 2007 and added only 4, 219 jobs in 2011. At this pace , as Crain's rightly points out: it will take until 2055 to regain all the jobs lost since 2007! Yet, stongman Rahm Emanuel says Chicago is a role model for the rest of the country!
