(Video) Flashback 1998: Obama Sarcastically Says Poor Blacks 'Undeserving' ; Poor Whites 'Deserving'

Flashback to the Brookings Institute forum on the "State of the Cities," June 14, 1998. Barack Obama talks about how he's not a big supporter of Bill Clinton's Welfare Reform Act. But, to Obama it presents a political opportunity to organize poor people. At the 28 second marker begins this amazing quote " desegregate the welfare population meaning the undeserving poor black folks in cities from the working poor deserving white rural as well as suburban. " This racist quote can't be denied, note the hint of sarcasm. No white politician could get away with this.
