20% of U.S. households hold student debt

The Detroit News reports:
Almost a fifth of U.S. households had student-loan debt in 2010, more than twice the level of 1989, with the burden falling disproportionately on the youngest and poorest.
Yet, the establishment tells you the housing recovery is here, because indebted college students need more leverage! Anyway, you should read Professor Reynold's book before going to college: it's a lot cheaper than $26,000.
