Illinois Democrats Considers $10 Minimum Wage : Would Be Highest in the Nation

Illinois Review reports:
This week the Illinois Senate Democrats are debating the state's minimum wage. Under consideration is a proposal to increase Illinois' minimum wage to $10 per hour. This would result in a 21% increase in labor costs to many Illinois small businesses and would give Illinois the highest minimum wage in the U.S. Illinois currently has the third highest minimum wage in the U.S. at $8.25 per hour.
What would the union movement in Illinois be with knocking out competition?
