ATF says 68K guns recovered in Mexico traced back to USA

USA Today reports:

In the past five years, Mexican authorities have recovered 68,000 guns that were traced back to the United States, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives reports.

More than 30,000 other seized weapons could not be traced.

Many weapons were recovered after drug cartel shootouts or found in raids on arms caches.
