NYPD Union VP's Son Arrested in Connection with Bronx Shooting

The Village Voice reports:
NYPD officials just can't keep their kids out of trouble these days. Less than a month after Commissioner Ray Kelly's son was accused of rape (and then cleared), the teenaged son of an NYPD union's vice president has been charged with weapons possession in connection with a Bronx shooting.

Police found a .9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol, still loaded with live bullets, in Hameed Abdul-Jabbar's bedroom, and arrested him in connection with the January 21 shooting of a 22-year-old man in Co-Op City. The incident happened blocks away from Abdul-Jabbar's residence. However, he has not been charged with actually committing the shooting, only possessing a dangerous weapon.
Great moments in Blue America.
