Romney wins Iowa by 8 votes

The Hill reports:
Mitt Romney edged Rick Santorum by an eight-vote margin in the closest primary election in modern American history, spotlighting a sharply divided Republican Party headed for an increasingly tough primary battle.

Romney received 30,015 votes to Santorum's 30,007 votes, according to the Iowa Republican Party. Romney matched his percentage from 2008, when he came in second in the state with 25 percent of the vote. But the former Massachusetts governor was actually down by six votes compared to last cycle.
It's too early to say Mitt Romney is "inevitable".
