Americans scaled back on health spending during recession

USA Today reports:

In tough economic times, Americans cut back on everything, including health care. In 2009 and 2010 total health care spending grew at just under 4%, the slowest rate since the government began keeping records more thasn 50 years ago. One big reason is that Americans dramatically curtailed their use of physician and hospital services.
