For all of the talk that statists give us about their solidarity with "regular folks," it turns out that being tied to the State is a good way to become wealthy. According to the 2010 Census, the area around Washington, D.C., is the wealthiest place in the USA.
I should add that the DC area also is the most unproductive place in this country, a place where government employees seize wealth and distribute it among themselves, and they block the production of wealth and also re-channel productive activity into lines of non-productivity, such as "green energy." But it gets even better. With its own vast reservoir of poor people, Washington, D.C. also has a wonderful moral theater. While wealthy federal and local politicians and bureaucrats work to deny real economic opportunity to the poor of D.C., they ship a few of the dollars they have seized from others to these poor in the name of "compassion," thus earning their votes so that the racket can continue. It is a great scam, and perhaps one of the most successful scams in all of history.

It's Official: Unproductive Mordor Is Now the Wealthiest Place in the USA
