51% of Orange , CA Full Time City Workers Make Over $100,000 A Year

The Orange County Register reports:
Thirty-nine percent of Orange city employees earned more than $100,000 in total annual compensation in 2009 — and five made more than $200,000, according to data released by the state controller’s office.

Average total compensation for all 958 Orange city workers — including part-timers — was $82,022. Of those, 373 made more than $100K.

If we pull out just full time workers — which we’re defining as those with pension benefits — there were 731 employees. Of those, 51 percent earned more than $100K, and the average was $105,222.
You'll never hear Barack Obama talk about government workers making a sacrifice.
