Wealthiest Members of Congress for 2011: Dianne Feinstein is Number 9

The Hill has the 50 wealthiest members of Congress. At number nine is California Senator Dianne Feinstein:

The majority of the senator’s wealth stems from assets held by her husband, Richard Blum. Blum holds a wide range of investments and stocks in companies including CB Richard Ellis Group, Collective Brands, Avid Technology and Career Education Corp. He also has more than $1 million invested with Amyris, Inc., a California-based biofuel company.

In addition, the former San Francisco mayor holds several real estate holdings, including at least $5 million invested in the Carlton Hotel in San Francisco that she jointly holds with her husband.

Feinstein also reported two family trusts of her own, valued at least $1 million each.

Senator Feinstein is all for commercial real estate bailouts by the Fed: it's good for her and her husbands pocketbook. You don't hear the media talking about CB Richard Ellis as:the world‘s largest commercial real estate services firm and Dianne Feinstein.
