The U.K. film and TV distribution business will face weeks of disruption following an arson attack on the Sony DADC building in London. The warehouse was attacked by rioters Monday as large parts of Blighty's capital were looted by gangs of youths. The film industry might think about making movies about self-defense and the respect for property rights: just a thought.
The 20,000 square foot, three-storey building in Enfield, North London, was set alight Monday night and the fire was only extinguished the following morning at around 9 a.m. local time.
Up to 30 million discs are believed to have been lost in the fire, which has destroyed the building.
