In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Chicago, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission accused William Marovitz of improperly trading Playboy shares in his own brokerage accounts from 2004 to 2009 ahead of public news announcements about the company, including a potential takeover by Iconix Brand Group Inc.
