Rise of the silver surfer: 77% of over 65s are now online

The Daily Mail reports:
Research by ICM for O2 found 77 per cent of over-65s have their own computer, iPad, or laptop.
A majority of them said modern gadgets improved their life. The proliferation of email, social networking sites, and video-calling technology such as Skype means the elderly are trying out a wider range of options to keep in touch.
