Silver slumps 5 percent

Reuters reports:
COMEX silver slumped 5 percent early on Friday, extending losses after its biggest one-day fall in 31 years in the previous session in a broad rout for commodities markets.

Gold bounced 1 percent, as markets from copper to oil staged a small recovery from the overnight losses that sent the 19-commodity Reuters-Jefferies CRB index down 5 percent in its fifth biggest one-day fall ever.
