Rod Blagojevich on the stand: ‘I’m an effin’ jerk’ on secret tapes

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

He’s doing it. Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich — after promising then reneging to testify at his last corruption trial— has taken the stand Thursday.

“I used to be governor and I’m here to tell the truth,” Blagojevich said after being sworn in.

Blagojevich said he had mixed emotions about being in court but had waited 2 ½ years to tell his story.

“In many ways, I feel very liberated — I’m ready to answer questions,” he said.
