Jan Schakowsky Defends Super-rich From Medicare Cuts

Schakowsky also said the U.S. should not means test Medicare because everybody pays into it like Social Security.

"We should not do it. And the number of people who actually, you know, are rich enough to say that they're millionaires or billionaires. What we should do, to make it fair, is to tax those people more," Schakowsky said. "We don't want to want to turn Medicare into a kind of welfare program that it's only fully paid for for lower income people. Everyone pays into Medicare when they work just like they pay into Social Security and I don't think it's the way to go is to means test."

Got that? Comrade Schakowsky wants Warren Buffett to pay his fair share ONLY by paying higher taxes not benefit cuts.
