Homeschooling gains momentum

Cincinnati Enquirer reports:
Thousands of parents and children filled the Duke Energy Convention Center downtown Thursday, but they weren't there for Reds Opening Day.

They were attending an annual, three-day convention on homeschooling, an alternative form of education in which parents teach their children at home instead of enrolling them in schools.

Nationally, some 2 million children - about 3 percent - are homeschooled, experts say.
