Sitting, lying officially illegal in San Francisco

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
The San Francisco Police Department vowed it would publicize the start date of its enforcement of the new ban on sitting or lying on sidewalks throughout the city after delaying it to ensure officers were properly trained.

Oops.

Enforcement has been happening since Thursday, but the department didn't bother telling anybody. You may have heard the SFPD has other matters on its plate like those pesky videos apparently showing officers searching people's apartments without obtaining warrants.

Yet, NPR types think San Francisco is full of freedom!
