Rod Blagojevich selected keynote speaker for Junior State of America regional conference

PR News has this official press release from Blago:
Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (www.governorrod.com) will be the keynote speaker at a student political convention sponsored by the Junior State of America (JSA), the largest high school student-run organization in the country.

The two-day seminar in Chicago will host over 500 students from 13 states. JSA (www.jsa.org) strives to invite speakers who have applied their interests in government, politics, and debate towards real-world success.

“As both a Chicagoland local and the most recognized politician of our generation, Mr. Blagojevich is ideal for this role,” says Tony Castagnoli from JSA. “Students are excited to hear the former governor speak and we believe this will be our best convention ever.”

The governor will address the students at 10am on April 2, 2011, at the DoubleTree Chicago-Oakbrook Hotel.

ABOUT THE JUNIOR STATE OF AMERICA
As the largest high school student-run organization in the country, JSA (www.jsa.org) has over 11,000 members with established chapters in over 450 high schools. The group was founded in 1934 and has since organized itself into 10 geographic states and territories, each with elected executive and legislative branches. In addition to hosting campus-based debates and thought talks, the group convenes at statewide conventions three times per year, which allow students to introduce, debate, and vote on mock legislation. JSA also invites prominent government and community leaders to speak with students about political involvement.
No word yet on whether Blago will discuss bookmaking and the Chicago Mob to the kids.
