Rahm Emanuel's election as Chicago's new mayor got big lift from famous agent brother

The New York Daily News reports on Ari Emanuel of WME/Endeavor talent agency:
Ari was "obsessed" with his brother's campaign and "spending all of his time" monitoring the race.

Little bro, who's 49, was also instrumental in raising a nice portion of Rahm's reported $12 million war chest, which dwarfed the competition. Last fall Ari co-hosted a fund-raiser with DreamWorks co-founder David Geffen, Disney CEO Robert Iger and private-equity investor Haim Saban, who's perhaps best known for turning the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" into an international hit.

Based on a less-than-exhaustive perusal of contributions to Rahm's campaign, nearly $1 million of the mayor-elect's campaign coffers came from the West Coast, and a nice chunk of that figure came from WME agents and clients.

Rahm's westside support.
