The head of the United Auto Workers said Wednesday the union will begin a campaign in January to organize hourly factory workers at foreign-owned car plants in the U.S.
Bob King, elected to head the UAW last summer, said in an interview he received approval from his union's board of directors last week on a set of principles to be presented to the targeted companies.
