Former President Bill Clinton returned to the White House Friday and gave his endorsement to the tax agreement reached between President Barack Obama and congressional Republicans, an appearance aimed at bringing more Democratic lawmakers on board.Bill Clinton is back on stage.
"In my opinion, this is a good bill, and I hope that my fellow Democrats will support it," the former president told reporters at a hastily arranged news conference in the White House briefing room. Mr. Clinton said the unemployment benefits in the agreement would bolster the economy and that the deal was the best one Democrats could hope for, given the political balance of power.
