Meeks handing off church duties during mayoral run and if elected

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

State Sen. James Meeks’ said Monday he has handed off day-to-day responsibility for operating his massive South Side to his senior staff and will devote full-time to his campaign for Chicago mayor.

The man that can be Rahm Emanuel. No word yet from liberal Democrats who worry about the separation of church and state on this one.
