Stocks posted their biggest one-day drop in over three months Tuesday as fears of a slowdown in Chinese economic growth and doubts over the long-term effects of the Federal Reserve's bond-buying program mounted.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped below the 11000 level, but closed above it at 11023.5, its lowest level since Oct. 19. On Tuesday the Dow fell 178.47 points, or 1.59%. It was the Dow's biggest one-day drop since August 11.
