Powerful Ohio Democrat Accused of Bilking Disabled Veteran: Rep. Marcy Kaptur Accused Of “Cheating” Vet On Memorial Project Fundng

Suit was filed in Federal District Court against the United States and Representative Marcy Kaptur (Dem – OH). The suit filed by Nick Hauptricht, 100% disabled Marine Vietnam vet and long time veterans activist claims Kaptur’s staff is responsible for misleading him into spending thousands “out of pocket” to help finance a veterans memorial project.

Kaptur is the longest serving woman in the House of Representatives, 2nd ranking member of House appropriations and the influential House Defense Appropriations Sub-committee. Kaptur has “cruised” to reelection time and time again with strong backing from local labor unions, teachers and the substantial Polish Catholic community in Northwest Ohio.
